All our vehicles available for hire also hold a Public Carriage Office licence showing that they are fit for purpose. The vehicles are inspected twice a year to ensure they are fit for purpose. The Public Carriage Office is a part of Transport For London . In other countries and some other parts of the UK you would just call us a Taxi but in London there are strict regulations in place with regards to the word Taxi and Cab . In London we are not allowed to call ourselves a Taxi or Cab. We are only allowed to call ourselves almost everything apart from a Taxi Service. According to the Oxford English Dictionary the word Taxi is a noun which is to decribe a motor vehicle licensed to transport passengers in return for payment of a fare.

Unlike regular Taxis or cabs black taxi in london we do not use Taximeters. No is no waiting charge or extra charges for being in traffic. A black taxi in London is usually licensed to carry 5 persons and 6 persons with some Taxis. A private hire vehicle can carry 5 persons and up to 8 passengers depending on the size of vehicle. We don't charge you by the minute. Our fares are predetermined. As our vehicles are pre-booked you are welcome to negotiate the cost of your journey on the phone prior to pick up. There is no booking fee.
